Refund policy

Thank you for shopping at SS Brand Rice (operated by S.Ponnusamy Gounder & Co.). We take immense pride in manufacturing and delivering premium quality rice, serving our customers with dedication since 1966.

Because rice is an agricultural and consumable food product, we strictly adhere to rigorous hygiene and food safety standards. Therefore, we maintain a clear and controlled return policy.

1. Strict No-Return Policy

Due to the perishable nature of food items, we follow a strict No-Return Policy across all our rice varieties (including Basmati, Sona Masuri, Idli Rice, Seeraga Samba, etc.). Once a product has been delivered correctly, it cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.

2. Exceptions for Wrong Items Received

We only accept returns and offer a solution in the rare event that the wrong item was delivered to you (e.g., you ordered Basmati Rice but received Idli Rice).

To qualify for a return under this exception, you must meet the following strict conditions:

Package Condition: The product package must remain completely unopened, untampered with, and in its original sealed condition. If the bag or outer packaging has been opened, pierced, or used in any way, the return will be deemed strictly invalid.
Reporting Window: You must report the mismatch to our customer support team within 48 hours of receiving the delivery.

3. How to Initiate a Verification/Return

If you have received an incorrect package, please reach out immediately with proof:

Provide your Order ID along with clear unboxing photos or a video showing the unopened bag and the shipping label clearly.
Our team will verify the details against our dispatch logs. Once approved, we will arrange for a replacement or a correction at no extra cost to you.

4. Cancellation Policy

Before Dispatch: You may request to cancel your order within 2 hours of placing it, provided it has not already been handed over to our shipping partner (Shiprocket).
After Dispatch: Once an order is shipped out from our units, it cannot be cancelled or recalled, and will be subject to our standard delivery timeline of 2 to 5 working days across India.
